Mission Statement

The Durham Democratic Town Committee is committed to selecting and promoting strong candidates to fill town offices, boards and commissions and working on behalf of state and national candidates who will serve with fairness and integrity.

 

Dear neighbor,

Our main goal is to protect and improve the quality of life in Durham by supporting effective, ethical local government—and we can’t do that without you.

We’d love for you to join us at one of our monthly meetings, held on the first Thursday of each month. It’s a great way to get to know who we are and what we do. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to any of our executive board members—we’re always happy to connect.

One of the most impactful ways to get involved is by volunteering to serve on a Durham board or commission. There are many options to choose from, and most don’t require a huge time commitment. Check out the Boards and Commissions page to learn more.
